BELL & SCOTT CONFIRM SPEAKER LINE-UP FOR PROPERTY 2010

Bell & Scott has confirmed the speaker line-up for its annual Property Conference. Andrew Smith, Chief Economist at KPMG will open the conference with an economic outlook.

Places at Property 2010 are selling fast as delegates take advantage of an 'early bird' discount when registering before 1st August.

Property 2010 takes place on Wednesday 1st September 2010 at the EICC, Edinburgh. The conference held in association with the Scottish Property Federation will debate key issues facing the property industry including the economy, regeneration and mixed use projects, funding models for property projects, environmental opportunities and planning. This event is a must attend for all those allied to the property industry in Scotland.

Chaired by Bell & Scott’s Managing Partner, Paul Jennings, the highly regarded expert panel of speakers include:

  • Andrew Smith, Chief Economist at KPMG, with responsibility for macro-economic and strategic issues. Prior to joining KPMG, Andrew worked mainly in financial markets, having been Chief Economist and Investment Strategist at Credit Lyonnais Eurosecurities from 1985 - 1997 and before that Chief Economist at The Royal Bank of Scotland. Andrew is a Fellow of the Society of Business Economists, a Board Member of the Centre for International Business and Management at the Judge Business School, Cambridge and is a member of the Secretary of State’s Panel on the Economy at the UK Government Department of Innovation, Business and Skills.
  • Anthony Glossop, Non-Executive Chairman of St Modwen. St Modwen Properties PLC is the UK ’s leading regeneration specialist. Anthony has been a Director since 1976 and Chief Executive from 1982 - 2004, an Executive Chairman from 2004 - 2008, and Non-Executive Chairman since February 2008. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Robinson PLC and a member of the Regeneration and Development Committee of the British Property Federation.
  • John Rathbone, Executive Chairman of JC Rathbone Associates. John founded JCRA in 1989 following a career spent in the treasury and capital markets areas of several banks. Prior to forming JCRA, he was the Managing Director in charge of the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group's global capital markets activities. He advises on structuring hedging solutions for clients in the full range of sectors.
  • Jackie Sadek, Chair of the British Urban Regeneration Association and Head of Regeneration at CB Richard Ellis. CB Richard Ellis is the world's leading commercial real estate advisor. Jackie joined CB Richard Ellis as the national Head of Regeneration in 2007. In September 2007 she was elected National Chair of the British Urban Regeneration Association as well as serving as Independent Chair of the South Kilburn Partnership since January 2008.
  • Ralph Luck OBE, Director of Property at the Olympic Delivery Authority. Ralph is responsible for leading on the network of property deals being put in place to deliver the land for the Games in London and elsewhere, and also to deliver a legacy after 2012, working alongside the Olympic Park Legacy Company and the South West Regional Development Agency.
