Central to the work of the Acquisition & Development team is the drafting and negotiating of Development Agreements. This is an area that we feel very well illustrates the benefits to clients of the Bell & Scott strategy of industry focused teams. Our Acquisition & Development team may be unique in the proportion of its work load which is Development Agreement related.
No two deals are the same, and as we have said – our clients tend to like to “think outside the box.” There is no question of the team trying to fit a client’s well thought out heads of terms into the box of a previous contract, but we are able to utilise solutions encountered on other transactions to our clients’ advantage. We know that there is no need to, and clients don’t want to pay for, the reinvention of the wheel.
